Viper’s Vigil
This high relief sculpture portrays a young woman who has ventured into the viper's lair near a rocky shoreline. Clutching a tome of esoteric knowledge close to her chest, she faces formidable vipers intent on seizing her truths. These serpents embody insidious worldly dangers, while she exemplifies resolute determination and stoic strength.
I was inspired to sculpt this piece by my lovely partner, and her fully stocked library.
Resin, gypsum, and pigment.
Framed: Approximately 21 5/8 x 14 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. (without frame: 15 x 8 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches). Frame is 68.2cm in length.
