I intended this piece to be symbolic of strength, bravery, and the unwavering pursuit of universal wisdom. The chimeric fusion of human and barn owl features serves as a metaphor, illustrating a resilient synthesis of mortal and divine attributes. I hope this piece invites reflection on the enduring human spirit’s quest for enlightenment.
Viper’s Vigil
This high relief sculpture portrays a young woman who has ventured into the viper's lair near a rocky shoreline. Clutching a tome of esoteric knowledge close to her chest, she faces formidable vipers intent on seizing her truths. These serpents embody insidious worldly dangers, while she exemplifies resolute determination and stoic strength.
I was inspired to sculpt this piece by my lovely partner, and her fully stocked library.
